Robot Preparation
Wiring Checklist
- Follow good electrical practices.
- Hot glue wires.
- Zip tie loose wires.
- Cut the POE wire inside the ethernet cable between the VH-109 and RoboRIO/SystemCore.
- Make sure all wires are secure, do a "tug test" on each one to ensure nothing will unplug in the event of a collision.
- Use a voltage tester to check for resistance and ensure the robot complies with inspection rules.
Software Checklist
- Make sure the master branch that will be used in competition isn't modified.
- Push the code that will be used in competition, and maybe add a tag to it so it's obvious what should be used.
- Make sure cameras are operational and calibrated.
- Make sure swerve is aligned properly.
- Do a full systems check with a "drop test."
Mechanical Checklist
- Clean cameras with lens wipes, and cover for transport if needed.
- Check for any breaks or bends, replace parts if needed.
- Replace worn wheels and drivetrain tread.
- Vacuum the inside of the robot, mystery dust is bad for electronics.
